Peak Moments The Philip Thomas Photography Short Film
I am so proud to present Peak Moments a short documentary film about photographer Philip Thomas. There were so many people that contributed their time, talents, and goods, to bring this story to fruition. First off a big thank you to the family of Philip Thomas. Philip’s wife Marcie and little girls, Lily and Emma put up with me following them around with my camera and fuzzy microphone. Our first stop was Marburger Orchards in Fredericksburg, Texas. A special thank you to them for allowing us to roam the orchards when it was closed at sunset. I followed Philip on a styled shoot to the gorgeous Purple Sage Ranch event center where the talented Lauren Ryker modeled wedding gowns from Destiny Bridal. Thank you Mari Leon for the dresses they were perfection. David Garcia the owner of Statue of Design created a gorgeous floral arrangement for the shoot and it was incredibly artistic and fit the scenes perfectly. Thank you to Tempo Hair Design and makeup. Leighton, Lauren looked gorgeous as always. You never disappoint in your hair and makeup skills, thank you for waking up at 4am to make her camera ready. The brides and grooms that allowed me to use their footage for all the world to see need to be thanked as well: Libby + Jonathan Reese, and Elizabeth + Michael Whynott.
Finally to Philip Thomas, thank you for selecting me to tell your story. The admiration I have for your work continues to grow. The way you see things, and especially weddings is in a way unlike any other. I look at your work and I am amazed by the moments you capture. I had the privilege of watching you and I have to say that your way with people is magical. You have a way of putting people at ease and working with children that is special and quite comedic. Brides and grooms are incredibly fortunate to have you as their wedding photographer. When I was putting together the slideshow of your photographs for the end of your film I actually got emotional. I could feel the love that was in the brides eyes and the excitement of the groom. You shoot weddings in a way that is timeless and it was a privilege to create this film.
Thank you to all that made Peak Moments possible,

P.S. Thanks to the Music Bed for making the music of Dexter Britain available for the film. It was exactly what I was looking for.
